The paper "Altitudes Impact on Photovoltaic Efficiency: An IoT-Enabled Geographically Distributed Remote Laboratory" by Andrés Gamboa, Alex Villazón, and Omar Ormachea from Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB), Bolivia, was presented at the 21st International Conference on Smart Technologies & Education (STE 2024), in Helsinki, Finland (6 to 8 March 2024).
The article presents the implementation of a photovoltaic solar laboratory to carry out energy efficiency measurements of photovoltaic solar panels depending on altitude (deployed at the UPB campuses in La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz). The use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology for data collection and real-time experiment control is highlighted.
