During the IEEE Bolivian Engineering and Technology Congress (BETCON) 2024, held in Cochabamba, Bolivia (from 24 to 27 March) Prof. Alex Villazón from Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB), was invited as Keynote Speaker. His presentation entitled "Moderizing Digital Education with Remote Laboratories based on IoT", described the overall vision of the EXPLORE Energy Digital Academy (EEDA), and in particular the developement of the two Remote Laboratories that were developed at UPB within the EUBBC-Digital Project.
Prof. Villazón described in detail how the Spectrometry Remote Lab and the PV Solar Remote Lab make use of the IoT (Internet of Things) technology to operate remotely the labs. Also, the presentation included a desciption of two software services developed at UPB: the Booking System for Remote Labs and the Bridge Server, both used in EEDA Remote Laboratories.
