The paper "Altitude’s Impact on Photovoltaic Efficiency: An IoT-Enabled Geographically Distributed Remote Laboratory" wich describes the photovoltaic PV Solar Remote Laboratory developed at Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB) was published in Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Smart Technologies & Education (STE 2024) held in March 2024. The paper describes a distributed remote lab that allows students to control simultaneosly the lab equipment, through the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, in 3 different localtions and altitutes in La Paz (3625 m.a.s.l) , Cochabamba (2558 m.a.s.l), and Santa Cruz (400 m.a.s.l.) in Bolivia, to study the effects of altitude in the energy efficiency of PV panels. The system is integrated with the EEDA Remote Lab Booking System also developed at UPB.
